02
On yer bike!
23k cycle starts at Kiltimagh GAA pitch, the first 7k flat on main road, next 12k on tarred country roads, one very steep hill ascent (please note that if you decided to dismount and walk please alert the cyclists behind you and continue in single file to allow other participants to continue to cycle).
There are also two very steep descents (the road is not in great condition in places with some potholes, we ask all competitors to be extra vigilant in this area).
All bikes suitable but racer/road bikes are probably best, however no Tri bikes or TT bars allowed.
Wearing cycling shoes? You'll need to carry your runners for Stage 3 or leave a second pair at Transition 2.
